ADRIANO IURISSEVICH
As a theater director, Adriano has left an indelible mark on stages across Italy and throughout Europe, Brazil, and Israel. Renowned as a specialist in mask work (watch here) and Commedia dell'Arte, Adriano has adapted classic works and penned original comedies, infusing each production with creativity and flair.
In the realm of acting, Adriano has been directed by luminaries such as Giampiero Solari in "La Mandragola" (1990), Paolo Benvenuti in "Confortorio" (1992), and Benno Besson in "L’ Amore delle tre melarance" (2001). Noteworthy film credits include collaborations with acclaimed directors such as Lasse Hallström in "Casanova" (2005) and Peter Greenaway in "I figli dell’ Uranio" (2007).
During the late 80s, Adriano briefly shone as a television comedian on shows like "Il piacere dell'Estate" and "Dancemania," but ultimately parted ways with television due to "character incompatibility."
A dedicated educator, Adriano has taught theater at prestigious institutions across Europe, including the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, ENSATT de Lyon, and Scuola Civica di Milano Paolo Grassi. With a penchant for contemporary theater, Adriano has delved into Spanish dramaturgy, translating, performing, and publishing works by Jose Sanchis Sinisterra, Sergi Belbel, and Juan Mayorga.
At nearly sixty years old, Adriano rediscovered his youthful passion for songwriting and released an album titled "D’Amore e di Politica" (Of Love and Politics). As a finalist of the Musicultura Prize in 2012, Adriano's music video for the song "Capro espiatorio" directed by Nadine Birghoffer, gained recognition at the Venice Film Festival (2011) and reached the finals of the Italian Music Video Prize organized by Rockol, UILM Milano, and Muzu.tv (2011).
Adriano's creative journey took a cinematic turn in 2017 as a co-screenwriter, actor, and singer for the feature film "Comment ça va aujourd’hui?", directed by Nadine Birghoffer, marking the beginning of a fruitful collaboration. In 2023, Adriano founded ICE PROD s.r.l. with the aim of supporting and promoting films, theater, and music projects, in collaboration with Nadine Birghoffer and other multidisciplinary artists.
